School Psychologist

Sustainable Futures is seeking an enthusiastic, skilled, and creative School Psychologist to be a part of a team of educators working to provide a challenging and inclusive education for at-promise students. We are looking for individuals with a passion for working with students who have experienced trauma and/or with disabilities and the desire to work within a highly collaborative staff. S/he will help students succeed academically, socially, behaviorally, and emotionally through valid and timely assessment and high quality Individualized Education Program (IEP) documents and reports. They will collaborate with Learning Facilitators, parents, and other professionals to create safe, healthy, and supportive learning environments that strengthen connections between home, school, and the community for all students. Business Operations Manager

The Business Operations Manager will lead all non-instructional functions of a school allowing the Head of School and other instructional staff to drive student achievement and support. She/he will be the subject matter expert for school operations with responsibilities including successfully executing systems, processes, and policies in all non-instructional areas. The Business Operations Manager is the key link between the School and various regulatory agencies (e.g. the DC Public Charter School Board (PCSB) and the Office of the State Superintendent of Education (OSSE)), and is responsible for ensuring that the school complies with all relevant rules and regulations as it relates to operations and finance. The Business Operations Manager will report to the Head of School and manage a team that will support the execution of various responsibilities. Head of School

The Head of School is a visionary instructional and operational leader who will build and maintain an organizational culture that challenges and motivates staff, students and families to achieve academic excellence, develop as people and positively impact the communities in which they live.  S/he will oversee all aspects of the school’s health, including but not limited to: enacting the school’s vision and mission, managing the school day to day, overseeing the realization of personalized academic goals and outcomes for all students, partnering with the board to meet the school’s fundraising and other financial goals, guiding staff and student culture, being accountable to the school’s authorizer and board, and building external relationships as needed to support school goals.  S/he will work closely with the Director of Academics & Experience to plan and design SF’s innovative curriculum, and design and implement teacher training and coaching for effective curriculum implementation.  The Head of School will report to the Board Chair.  This is a full-time position located in Washington, DC.  For more details, please click here.

As a member of the instructional team, a Learning Facilitator is responsible for delivering our competency- and project-based curriculum. In partnership with other learning facilitators, the Head of School, and Director of Academics & Experience, you will facilitate learning for 10-15 students at a time in either STEM or Humanities content from beginning to end. Co-facilitated Studio course blocks  and small group Workshop courses allow for both individualized and flexible instructional methods. Learning Facilitators in addition to our Student Support Team serve as advisors, enabling them the opportunity to to build strong  relationships focused on the whole student.
